Aviation Security Listing for Allport Packaging

Allport Packaging's factory in Havant, Hampshire achieved a new first this month, when they were granted 'Listed Status' by the Department for Transport, in line with Aviation Security Regulations 1993.

Havant's achievement is particularly note-worthy as the other ten Allport locations that are cleared to handle 'Known' cargo are all freight centres.

David Peters, Plant Manager, commented. "We work extensively with the MoD and defence industry and are consequently very security focused. Recognition of this fact by the DfT is gratifying and means that we can now deliver 'Known' cargo directly to the ground handling agents at the airport, eliminating the need to screen, which will save our customers time and money."
