Allport Shortlisted for 2nd IFW 2010 Award

Dean Bauer, key client manager in Allport's Supply Chain Management division, has been selected by competition judges as a finalist in the 'Rising Star of Freight' category for this year's 'International Freighting Weekly Awards'.

Dean, 27, has risen to prominence for his leadership on Allport's freight management account with ASDA, for whom he manages a team of 18 and has undertaken a number of high-profile projects, in the UK and overseas.

Working within the supply chain division since 2005, Dean has been promoted five times and, in the words of managing director Danny Clayton. "We measure individual talent in three areas - ability, attitude and commitment and it is rare to find someone who excels in all three categories. Dean does exactly this and his ability and drive to continually better himself means he will undoubtedly be at the top of his profession in years to come."

Dean's recognition is the second success for Allport Supply Chain Management, who have also been shortlisted for the Supply Chain Partnership Award.

The IFW Awards will be held at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, on Thursday 28 October 2010.
