British Airways recently recognised Allport's continued support in Mauritius with awards for Top Revenue Achievement.

Known to Arab and Malay sailors as early as the 10th century, Mauritius was first explored by the Portuguese in 1505 and subsequently held by the Dutch, French, and British before independence in 1968.

Mauritian fruit and fish have always been in great demand and exports of these products are still very significant. Since the 1970's manufacture of textiles have grown and Mauritius is now the worlds second largest fully fashioned knitwear producer and the third largest producer of pure new wool products.
