Allport launch Egypt initiative

The UK is the largest foreign investor in Egypt, with cumulative investments estimated at around £10 billion.

British investors in Egypt include BP, Shell, BG Group, Vodafone, HSBC, Barclays, AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Unilever and Allport.

The relationships that we have established with Rock it's founder Mr Ayman El Sheikh (pictured centre) and his team have contributed to the considerable success that we have enjoyed and are the foundation for three new initiatives that can now be announced:

  • Senior manager Graham Jones (pictured left), our resident Middle East expert, has relocated from Dubai to Egypt to support the development of our joint interests
  • As part of our strategic commitment to the region the Allport board have sanctioned a significant equity investment in Ayman's company
  • A joint identity - Rock it Allport Logistics - has been launched as a symbol of our unified vision for developing our interests in Egypt and beyond
