Protecting the Protectors

Allport Packaging is the chosen supplier of heavy duty export packs to all of the UK based Formula 1 teams.

It's not exactly the 'Pits', but the teams invariably set short lead times and expect quick turnaround of the high quality packs that they need to protect their equipment.

Team McLaren, the Mercedes Formula 1 racing team recently approached Allport with a unique packaging project: Protection of the teams priceless collection of 80 drivers helmets from the last 25 years.

A variety of bespoke packs were designed to accommodate the diversity of shapes and styles that have been used over the years by the teams drivers from Ayrton Senna to Kimi Raikonnen.
