New French Head Office

Finding the right partner has been a critical element in building our network, particularly so in France, where our commitment is evidenced by a 39% investment in our partner of 20 years, Bansard International.

France is one of the UK's largest trading partners and has always been a key market for Allport, which is why our relationship with Bansard is so important. They share many of our characteristics and ethics. And - like Allport - Bansard is the largest independent forwarder in their market.

We enjoy working with our colleagues across "la Manche" and welcome the continued success of their operations; in France, Belgium, North Africa and increasingly, Asia, where the four Bansard offices in China have been particularly active.

Mutual values and success bind us close and seem to breed other curious similarities.

Allport and Bansard were founded in 1963 and have both remained close to their starting points. West London and proximity to Heathrow for Allport, Southern Paris and proximity to Paris-Orly airport for Bansard.

Last year Allport relocated head office activities to Cowley and now Bansard have relocated their head office to new premises in Orly.

The new site, comprising office and warehousing in excess of 120,000 sq ft, is more modern and spacious, to support better space utilization, providing excellent meeting spaces and an enhanced work environment.

The new bonded warehouse provides a significant space for storage, distribution and logistics activity including order picking, packing and dispatch functions.

An impressive array of 22 loading doors and ramps will support simultaneous load, unload and cross dock operations, providing considerable efficiency opportunities.
